Held annually in Washington, DC, the core of this event are "Working Committees" where members develop association resources and contribute to the work of the association. The work of these volunteers is vital to the continued success of the association.

AOC also includes immensely popular educational programs called “Forums” where expert speakers lead discussions about the latest cold chain industry trends.

What’s new this year?

We’ve made it easier for you to attend working committees and forums.

We’ve divided Assembly of Committees so that working committee meetings no longer compete with educational forums. Now, committee members don’t have to choose between volunteering and learning.

We’ve changed the structure and size of committees.

Working committees are now smaller to allow for better discussion and collaborative work. As a result, committees have a membership capacity. In addition, some working committees are closed based on function of the committee and appointment.  Forums remain open to everyone.

We’re asking for a commitment.

Committees also now require a commitment. Working committee members are asked to make a year-long commitment to a committee, beginning with Assembly of Committees. Depending on the committee, members will be asked to participate in electronic discussions, conference calls, and meetings throughout the year.

We’re introducing the Trends Forum Luncheon.

The popular Trends Forum, which examines the current state of the cold chain industry, has moved to Sunday afternoon and will now include a complimentary lunch.

We’ve moved the Cold Chain Networking Reception to an afternoon lunch.

We heard from several government representatives in 2010 that evening receptions are difficult to attend. In response, we’ve moved the annual Cold Chain Networking Reception to Monday afternoon and it will now include a complimentary lunch and a brief program. Monday evening will still include a closing reception for members.
