Project Description
GCCA conducted a postharvest pineapple packhouse project focusing
on the procurement of postharvest equipment. The main objective was
to develop model TOR’s for MiDA that are nearly complete, so that
their completion is a relatively simple exercise of filling in the
blanks. According to feedback from both the technical experts
themselves, as well as the partners, this project was an
overwhelming success. The focus of creating a TOR is to formulate
the relevant information that will compose the Request for Proposal:
an ROP that will be the design and specifications outline for a
model packhouse and cold storage facility. This facility will be the
impetus and blueprint used to build many other facilities for
Ghanaian Farmer Based Organizations being served by MiDA.
