Information for Participants
- Bring your laptop. There is free wireless Internet access
throughout the Forum Building (where classes are held) and the
Sooner Hotel. OU also provides us a small computer lab with a
printer in room B-3 of the Forum Building.
- Check out the
weather in Norman.
The airport closest to Norman is Will Rogers World Airport (OKC)
in Oklahoma City, about 25 miles from the University. If you will
not have a car, Airport Express is used by many of our
delegates—look for the bright blue vans. They run at regular
intervals from 8:00 am until about midnight and charge $27 for one
person and $2 for each additional person. If you are driving to
Norman or renting a car at the airport, download the
driving
directions. The directions sheet also includes a plan of the
Oklahoma Center for Continuing Education and the Forum Building
where classes will be held. Note the location of the Sooner Hotel
and the Commons Restaurant (where we will have group meals).
Remember: Institute participants should plan to arrive in Norman
on Saturday to attend the Institute from 9:00am Sunday to 11:30am
Wednesday.
Registration Desk
Pick up your textbook, badge, and other important materials at
the Registration Desk in room B-2 of the Forum Building, 4:00 to
5:30 pm on Saturday evening. If your flight gets in late, check in
first thing on Sunday morning. During the Institute, stop by the
WFLO office in room B-1 to look for announcements or ask questions.
Dress Code
Participants should wear comfortable but professional
clothing—collared or polo-type shirts or blouses with slacks or
khakis and comfortable shoes. The building tends to be chilly, so
you may want to bring a sweater or jacket. Places of Interest in Norman
