The International Association of Cold Storage
Contractors was founded in 1978 by a group of insulation contractors with the
aim of serving the needs of the cold storage industry in the United States of
America. The Association flourished, and in 1987 the European Division was set-up as
an autonomous wing of the IACSC operating in the United Kingdom and Europe.
The title was changed in April 2003 to the International Association For Cold
Storage Construction (IACSC).
The specific aims of the IACSC are:- |
|
-
To develop, collect, correlate and disseminate
educational information to its members and to the public
-
To promote high standards and coordinate communications and activities
between Contractors, Suppliers, Architects, Designers and Engineers active in
the temperature controlled storage and processing industries.
-
To provide national representation between the industry and government
departments and agencies, other agency groups and the public.
-
To initiate and develop studies directed towards the solution of present and
future problems related to the industry.
