bullet.gif WFLO Scientific Advisory Council (SAC)
  The SAC is a select body of eminent scientists, each a leader in a specific area of food technology worldwide. They represent such disciplines as meat, poultry, fish, dairy, cereal/bakery, fresh and frozen fruits and vegetables, packaging,  and refrigeration engineering. The Council keeps members informed on research and industry trends, recommends and advises on WFLO funded research projects, and contributes to WFLO manuals and bulletins.

  The WFLO Information Center comprises both physical and virtual materials on handling temperature-sensitive products, operating a public refrigerated warehouse, and other related topics. WFLO continues to invest in this important resource, which will soon be available to members online. Staff members work with scientists and other industry experts to quickly answer member inquiries on a vast range of topics, including hundreds of commodities.

WFLO Manuals
Includes the Commodity Storage Manual, a unique source of valuable information on the proper scientific storage procedures, relative humidities and other data on approximately 250 different food products. Every paper in the manual is reviewed and updated by scientific authorities every three years or less. The Q&A Manual contains answers to 1,500 specific questions from past Q&A Bulletins indexed by subject for quick reference.

The weekly Cold Connection e-mail can be sent to as many of your employees as you wish to keep them up-to-date on the latest WFLO news, events, bulletins, and other resources.

  The WFLO Institute and other educational programs are held in North America, Europe, and appropriate locations around the world. These programs offer a forum for training in state-of-the art food preservation techniques and business practices.
bullet.gif IARW-WFLO-IRTA Annual Convention and Trade Show
The Annual Convention and Trade Show is held jointly with the International Association of Refrigerated Warehouses (IARW) and the International Refrigerated Transportation Association (IRTA). The convention brings together industry representatives, scientific and academic members, experts and authorities, and key industry vendors for a week of invaluable networking and education.

Increasingly the vast and valuable information maintained by WFLO is available instantly and electronically to members via the WFLO website. This includes a global network of refrigerated warehouse and logistics companies to service members' distribution and storage needs.
bullet.gif WFLO Committees
WFLO committees on Research and Commodities, Education/Standards, Refrigeration and Energy, and Trends and Marketing serve as a think tank on industry issues and a clearinghouse for research projects. They meet annually at the IARW-WFLO-IRTA-IACSC Assembly of Committees, and result in extraordinary interaction between the scientific, warehouse, and customer communities.
